Web content management is the process of creating, updating, and reviewing the content for your Web presence.  If you have a Web site you understand the difficulty in keeping information current and correct for customers. 

There are many tools available for handling this, but most are either too big or too small for your needs.  Sometimes they just cannot account for the nature of your business, as you may need it. 

There are some things to keep in mind when purchasing or creating a content management system:
    1.) Do I need to keep information current up to the minute? 
    2.) Do I need approval before going online, or possibly multiple levels of approval? 
    3.) Do I have personnel to manage a system internally?

The answers to these questions will weigh heavily into making a decision for a pre-built package, or to build your own.  Most importantly though, don't jump without the background you need to make an educated decision.  Of course the company will tell you it can - it needs to sell you the product!
